Costs, plans, and payment options

Each Axene CE course costs just $10 per credit hour. With most courses being 1 credit hour, a single course costs $10. This is more affordable than many competitors who charge $15-25 per credit.

Our annual subscription provides unlimited access to all Axene CE courses for $175/year. For providers taking multiple courses, this subscription offers incredible value—often paying for itself after just 15 courses.

You should have received a receipt from noreply@noreply.axenece.com (check your spam or junk folder). You can also access receipts anytime through your Student Dashboard by clicking "My Account" in the sidebar and selecting your billing information.

We offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on all purchases. If for some reason you start a course and feel like the content and presentation style is not for you, please contact us at ace@axenece.com and someone will assist you. A course completion certificate must not have been issued for any courses.

Yes, all Axene CE courses are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). CAPCE accreditation is recognized by NREMT and accepted in 44+ states for recertification credit.

Yes, Axene CE is fully CAPCE (Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education) accredited. This means all our courses meet national standards for quality and are accepted in most states for continuing education requirements.

Yes, Axene CE is approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). We were founded with Texas EMS providers in mind and maintain full compliance with Texas requirements.

Yes, our Refresher bundles include CAPCE-accredited content that meets the NCCP requirement for recertification. Please note that you may also have local or state component requirements that must be met, depending on your state. We advise checking with your state EMS office for any additional requirements.

State Compliance

Meeting your state's specific CE rules

Axene CE provides coverage for most states, DC, and national NREMT requirements. Most states have full coverage — check our State Requirements page to confirm your specific state details.

Axene covers all 5 NREMT NCCP national component categories and most state-specific mandated topics. Some states (e.g., NY, NJ, VA, FL) have unique state-specific requirements that may need supplemental training through your local medical director or state-approved provider.

Most states accept CAPCE-accredited CE. A few states (NY, NJ, VA, select others) require state-specific approval in addition to or instead of CAPCE. Axene is actively working to obtain state-specific approvals where needed.

The NCCP divides CE into National (50%) and Local/Individual (50%) components. National topics include Airway/Ventilation, Cardiology, Medical, Trauma, and Operations. Required hours vary by level: EMR 16 hrs, EMT 40 hrs, AEMT 50 hrs, paramedic 60 hrs over a 2-year cycle.

CAPCE-accredited courses from Axene CE are accepted in most states for continuing education requirements. However, specific hours required and renewal cycles vary by state. We recommend checking your state's EMS office for exact requirements, then selecting courses that meet those needs.

CAPCE submits all Axene CE course completions to NREMT. Students are responsible for submitting course completion records to their individual states. You can easily download and print CE Certificates from your Axene CE Dashboard to submit to your state EMS office.

Completion certificates and NREMT reporting

Yes, you receive a completion certificate immediately upon finishing each course. These certificates are proof of your continuing education and can be used to meet state and NREMT recertification requirements.

Yes, Axene CE certificates can be uploaded to your NREMT profile for those who use NREMT services. We provide digital certificates that are compatible with NREMT's system, making it easy to document your continuing education.

CAPCE uploads Axene CE course completion records to NREMT once a month. For example, September completions will be available to import to your NREMT transcript in early October. If you need to upload sooner, you can download your CE certificates from your Axene CE dashboard and manually submit them to NREMT.

From your Axene CE dashboard, click "My Account" in the sidebar, then select "Certificates." You'll find a list of all completed courses. You can download and print certificates at any time or store a digital copy for your records.

This usually means your credential information is incomplete in your Axene CE profile, or that you haven’t clicked the import button in your NREMT account. CAPCE cannot match your CE completion records with your NREMT account if the information is missing or incorrect. If you have followed these steps and are still unable to import your classes, please contact Jared Walter at jwalter@capce.com for assistance in updating your credential information.

A NEMSID (National EMS ID) is a unique identifier assigned by NREMT. You can find yours by logging in to your NREMT account at nremt.org. Your NEMSID is needed to ensure your Axene CE course completions are properly matched with your NREMT profile.

Certificates are generated automatically upon course completion with a passing score. You can download, print, or email your certificate immediately from your account dashboard. Certificates include all information needed for state submission.

Axene CE reports CAPCE credits to the CAPCE system, which integrates with NREMT. For state-specific reporting, check your state's requirements — some states accept CAPCE reports directly, while others require you to upload certificates to their portal.

Yes. Axene CE's tracking dashboard shows your completed hours by category, helping you see exactly where you stand relative to your state's and NREMT's recertification requirements.

How to renew your certification

Yes, all courses are CAPCE-accredited and accepted by NREMT for recertification.

Yes! If you need to reset your course progress for a new learning cycle, you will need to enroll in the next cycle. You’ll still have access to your previously earned course completion certificates, but you’ll be able to retake courses for fresh credit in your new renewal cycle. Please reach out to us at ace@axenece.com for assistance.

Cancel current subscription and enroll in Cycle 2 by reaching out to us at ace@axenece.com. You’ll keep access to previous certificates.

Most states and NREMT operate on a 2-year recertification cycle, though the specific renewal window varies by state. Check your state EMS office or NREMT account for your exact expiration date. We recommend starting CE at least 6 months before your deadline.

Yes. All Axene CE courses are CAPCE-accredited and meet NREMT's requirements for the National Component of the NCCP. Combined with your Local/Individual Component hours, Axene CE can help you meet your full NREMT recertification requirements.

If your NREMT certification expires, you may have a grace period (check NREMT.org). After that, you may need to re-test. State rules vary — some allow reinstatement with additional CE, others require full re-examination. Don't let your certification lapse.

Visit axenece.com and select the course or bundle you’d like to purchase. Enter your name, email, EMS certification level, and state. You'll receive a confirmation email to activate your account. The process takes about 2 minutes.

Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page, enter your registered email, and check your inbox for a reset link. The link expires in 24 hours. If you don't receive it, check your spam folder or contact support@axenece.com.

Yes, Axene CE is fully optimized for mobile browsers on iOS and Android. Access all courses, certificates, and tracking features from any device with an internet connection.

Troubleshooting and tech issues

After purchase, you can access all courses through your personal Axene CE account. Login anytime, anywhere. Courses are available 24/7, so you can learn whenever it fits your schedule—whether that's on a long drive or during downtime at the station.

Axene CE courses feature podcast-style learning. Each course is presented as an engaging conversation led by experienced clinicians (often Dr. Erik Axene). This format is more engaging than traditional lectures and can be enjoyed while driving, at the gym, or doing other activities.

Axene CE allows you to take courses at your own pace. No waiting for class schedules. Take multiple courses back-to-back if needed. With 24/7 access, you can complete your required CE hours as quickly as you'd like. **Note: Most states have a limit on how many hours you can complete in one day**

Offline viewing is not available due to regulatory requirements. Courses must be completed while online to ensure your progress and completion are accurately tracked and reported to NREMT.

Due to CAPCE requirements, fast-forwarding is not allowed during the first viewing of a video. Rewinding is also limited while the video plays for the first time. However, once you complete a segment, you can scrub back and review any part of it as many times as you need.

We're currently working on adding closed captioning across our courses to make content more accessible for everyone. While this will take some time to fully roll out, we're committed to accessibility improvements and appreciate your patience.

You'll have two options for onboarding new users: share their information via our onboarding spreadsheet, or provide a signup link for self-enrollment.
